FAQs

What can I expect during my appointment?

Prior to your first appointment, you will receive an online health intake form to complete, which will be used for wellness planning. When you arrive for your reflexology treatment, you can expect a calming atmosphere designed to promote relaxation and healing. Unlike traditional massages where disrobing is common, for foot reflexology, you only need to remove your socks, ensuring a comfortable and non-invasive experience. You'll be comfortably positioned on a reflexology table and offered an eye pillow for added comfort, relaxation, and to block out light. During your session, gentle pressure will be applied to specific points on your feet, corresponding to various organs and systems in the body, aiming to alleviate tension, improve circulation, and restore balance. While there may be some tenderness, anticipate a deeply soothing experience as you recline in a tranquil environment, allowing the therapeutic benefits of reflexology to take effect.

What should I do after a reflexology session?

After a rejuvenating reflexology session, it's essential to continue nurturing yourself! Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and allow the healing energies to flow. Consider taking a leisurely stroll in nature to amplify the relaxation benefits. Pamper yourself with a warm bath infused with soothing essential oils or indulge in your favorite book or movie. Remember, self-care is key to maintaining that post-reflexology bliss! If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to reach out to me, Jailin. I'm here to ensure your wellness journey is as joyful and fulfilling as possible!

What qualifications and certifications do your reflexologists have?

As a certified reflexology therapist and registered member of the Reflexology Association, I adhere to a rigorous standard of practice, ensuring the highest quality of care for my clients. This means that I can provide receipts for insurance purposes, making your reflexology sessions more accessible and beneficial. In addition to my qualifications in reflexology, I hold a master's degree from the University of Calgary Faculty of Medicine, and I bring over 20 years of experience in the social work field to my practice. My commitment to personal and professional development is further demonstrated through my role at the Haven Centre for Transformational Learning, where I value the opportunity to contribute to the well-being of others.
